How much do you know about the uses of neutral glass fiber cloth?

Medium alkali glass fiber cloth (C-glass, alkali content 6%–12%), the core advantage is acid resistance, low cost, good strength, easy to soak resin, mainly used in five scenarios: anti-corrosion, construction, waterproof, glass fiber reinforced plastic, and fireproof insulation.

1. Chemical anti-corrosion (core)

- Pipe anti-corrosion wrapping: outer layer anti-corrosion and insulation wrapping of oil/gas/heating pipes.

- Equipment and tank body anti-corrosion: chemical plant sewage tank, acid washing tank, storage tank, floor, desulfurization tower lining, cooperate with resin to make glass fiber reinforced plastic anti-corrosion layer.

- Acid filtration: acid filter cloth, waste gas filter bag, acid-resistant and stable.

2. Construction and reinforcement

- Wall/insulation reinforcement: EPS/XPS exterior and interior wall insulation board, GRC wall board, plasterboard, joint tape, crack prevention.

- Stone backing: marble/mosaic/granite backing net, anti-breakage, improve laying strength.

- Floor and roof: floor reinforcement, waterproof layer reinforcement, asphalt roof waterproof base cloth.

- Reinforcement of cement products: Roman columns, chimneys, flower pots, etc., to enhance crack resistance and strength.

III. Waterproofing and Membrane Materials

- Waterproof membrane base cloth: the base cloth of asphalt waterproof membrane and polymer waterproof membrane, which enhances tensile strength and anti-aging.

- Roof/underground waterproofing: waterproofing of roofs, basements, and tunnels, used in combination with asphalt/resin.

IV. Glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) products

- General-purpose fiberglass: cooling towers, ventilation ducts, yacht hulls, automotive interior parts, seats, sports equipment (surfboards, snowboards).

- Coating/glue base cloth: wind guide tube, three-resistant cloth (waterproof/fireproof/anti-corrosion), wall-adhering cloth base cloth.

V. Fireproofing, Insulation, and Thermal Insulation

- Fire curtain / fire board: flame retardant fire cloth, fire curtain, fire door core, fire decoration board.

- Insulation and heat preservation: industrial kilns, boilers, pipe insulation layer wrapping, high temperature resistance (about 500 ℃).

- Electrical insulation: motor, electrical appliance, transformer insulation layer, low-voltage electrical insulation base material.

VI. Other industrial uses

- Abrasive base cloth: Enhance the strength of the abrasive wheel and prevent it from breaking at high speed.

- Geogrid: Strengthening of road / railway subgrade, improving bearing capacity and preventing settlement.

- Projection screen: TV/movie projection screen substrate, good flatness, uniform diffuse reflection.

Quick selection (gram weight reference)

- 100-200g/㎡: waterproofing rolls, wall grid cloth, thin anti-corrosion layer.

- 200-400g/㎡: Pipe wrapping, glass fiber cloth, equipment anti-corrosion.

- 400g / m² or more: thick anti-corrosion, flooring, structural reinforcement.
